Winter Has Arrived!
Late Oct, early Nov has brought some horribly rainy and windy weather to Grand Cayman. Battering waves crashed along 7-mile beach for a little over a week. The late season tropical depression re-arranged the beaches along the west coast, caused the closure of West Bay Rd. for a few days and made diving Grand Cayman challenging even for some more seasoned divers. The wave action also did a little housekeeping by moving the USS Kittiwake towards the wall near Sand Chute. She now sits about 50-60' feet from the reef and listing much harder to port than when she sank in Jan 2011. The schooling fish life appears to be thriving at her new location and the inclement weather also cleaned the algae from the wreck. She looks amazing! With Pirates week about a week away and things starting to get much busier on island, don't forget to reserve your spots for Grand Cayman diving now. We watch the news, we see that horrible white stuff is starting to fall already....We're waiting for you!
